About Mrs. Dunn

Even though as a child we moved around a lot, I grew up mostly in Pontiac, Illinois.  I have two older sisters and one older brother.  The older of my older sisters is the library media teacher for the Prairie Central Upper Elementary School.  

I graduated from Pontiac High School and went on to Illinois State University to receive a degree in education.  I did not start teaching right after college instead I spent three years working in a small day care center and three years as the Youth Services Librarian for the Pontiac Public Library.  I thoroughly enjoyed working at the library and sharing my passion for reading with children. 

I am married and have one son.  We currently live in the Prairie Central community and I enjoy not only sharing my passion for reading as the Title I teacher but also have the opportunity to help students become better readers.
