Fall Driver Education Student to Receive
Permits Students enrolled in Driver Education for the fall (1st)
term of 2009 will receive material to obtain their instruction permits
from the Secretary of State’s Office in at the end of April, the first
week of May. Students will
meet in the cafeteria at the High School following the 8:10am bell using
the following schedule: Tuesday, April
28, 2009. Students will
meet and receive rules of the road books to study for rules or the road
test and permit applications. Instructions
on how to complete permit applications will also be distributed.
Students will need to obtain parent or guardian signature and pay
$20 fee. Checks should be made
payable to Secretary of State. Thursday,
April 30, 2009. Students
will take the rules of the road test.
This test will consist of multiple choice questions regarding rules
of the road and matching questions featuring identification of traffic
signs. Students will also turn
in completed permit applications with parent/guardian signature and $20
fee. Check should be made
payable to Secretary of State. Friday, May 1,
2009. Vision screening to
test for visual acuity and peripheral vision will be administered to
students with last names beginning A-M. Monday, May 4,
2009. Vision screening to
test for visual acuity and peripheral vision will be administered to
students with last names beginning N-Z. Tuesday, May
5, 2009. Make up of vision
screening and completion of vision screening of 8th grade
students. Once testing and administrative tasks are completed, applications will be submitted to the Drivers Facility. Permits will be distributed to students when they are completed. |
