Business courses require logic and
organization. To assist you with your organization, the
following classroom rules will apply: |
|
- Follow oral and written instructions the FIRST
time they are given.
- Be in your seat and ready to work
(books/papers/pencil assembled) as the class bell rings.
This means your entire body must be completely in the room when
the bell BEGINS to ring.
- Be prepared with your OWN class homework, book,
notebook, pencil EACH day*. Respect other's property.
- Use only positive written and spoken language
(no swearing) when communicating with anyone in the
school. Unless otherwise instructed, raise your hand to be
recognized before speaking during class.
- Handle computer equipment with careful
touch. You will not be allowed on the internet unless you
have been instructed to do so. This will be the only
warning for this rule.

|
If a student chooses to break a rule, the following
cumulative consequences will occur: |
- Warning
- 30 minute detention with the Asst. Principal
- Two 30 minute detentions and communication with the student's parent(s)/guardian(s)
- Dismissal from class
|
|
If a student severely disrupts my classroom and stops
me from teaching and/or others from learning, I will immediately
impose the following: Dismissal from class to the Asst. Principal's
office. Any direct violation of the student handbook may
warrant direct dismissal from the class to the Asst. Principal's
office. |
|
| *ASSIGNMENTS: Due to the nature of
my courses and the way the business world works, students will be
allowed to assist each other on assignments. I define assist
as asking a classmate a question when I am not available to ask that
question to. Unless otherwise stated on the assignment,
students may NOT collaborate, share, work together in pairs or as a
group. ALL WORK MUST BE COMPLETED INDEPENDENTLY UNLESS
SPECIFICALLY STATED ON AN ASSIGNMENT. If there is ANY question
about whether or not an assignment is a group or partner assignment,
it is the STUDENT'S responsibility to ask for clarification. |
