    Congratulations!
Past Experience Started band in 4th grade in hometown schools of Antioch, Illinois. Participated in Concert, Jazz and Marching band throughout junior high and high school. First teaching job was at Kuemper High School before coming to Prairie Central.
Past Performance Experiences
  • University of Minnesota Morris Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band
  • Marched with Top Chops Brassline before they became Chops Inc. Drum and Bugle Corps
  • Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, 1996, DCI World Champions
Current
  • Prairie Brass: a brass quintet of local Fairbury / Pontiac area musicians who play because they enjoy playing; and are available for special occasion performances.
  • Heartland Jazz Orchestra: a jazz Big Band based in Bloomington
  • Bloomington/Normal Brassband: a new group of about 30 central Illinois brass players. Their first concert was May of 2004. "The brass band experience is new to me but I am enjoying the music and the opportunity to perform."

"The 2 best parts of teaching music are the journey and the performance. It's one of the best feelings in the world to conduct a great band at a performance and then think back to all the work that everyone put into get to that point. That journey is filled with successes and struggles that are constantly being worked out in order to reach our goals. There is never a dull day in the band world."
