An Evening of Jazz

The 13th annual “Evening of Jazz” will be presented by the Prairie Central High School Jazz Band on Friday and Saturday, March 19 & 20, 2010. Through the collaboration of students, parents, and the directors, the Chenoa Elementary School gym will be transformed into the “Blue Note Café”, a jazz club/dinner theatre. Make plans to attend this fabulous showcase of jazz and swing band music. Bring your dancing shoes or just sit back and relax as you are taken to a bygone era of favorites such as “In the Mood”, “Woodchoppers Ball”, “My Funny Valentine”, and many more. Seating will begin at 6:15 with the meal served at 6:30, and listening, dancing, and socializing from 7:30-10:30 p.m. |

Tickets are on sale in the Prairie Central High School office or from Mrs. Kline. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Ticket sales will close on Friday, March 12 at 4:00 p.m. or when sold out. We are limited to 150 persons for dinner and an additional 50 for dessert. Purchase tickets early! Please make checks out to Prairie Central Bands.

Let us know when purchasing the ticket. Students participating in the show can eat for $5.00. You must sign up and pay by March 12 also, if you want to eat. You will still help serve and sit in the cafeteria area not at the guest tables. |
