The Board of Education of the Prairie Central Community Unit School District #8 will hold a public Hearing Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 6:35 PM in the library at Prairie Central High School located at 411 N Seventh Street, Fairbury, Illinois, 61739.
The purpose of the said hearing will be to receive public comment on a proposed waiver application for the Board of Education of Prairie Central Community Unit School District #8 to seek a waiver of Section 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12a of the School Code, which would permit the District to charge less than 110% of the per capita tuition charge for non-resident children of full-time employees of the District. The actual intent would be to allow students of full-time employees to attend free of charge. Prairie Central CUSD #8 will claim these students toward enrollment for purposes of Evidence-Based Funding as defined by section 18-8015 of the Illinois School Code.
