New Facility Work for Prairie CUSD #8
The Prairie Central School District approved the Design Development of our new PreK-4th Grade Elementary School at our Board Meeting on February 19, 2026. This will allow us to begin the construction document phase of our new building project. We are in the process of completing the design of the HVAC work for the Junior High and Upper Elementary. We will begin to work on the High School in the near future to determine what our best course of action will be moving forward. The High School campus provides many more obstacles compared to the UE and JH on HVAC upgrades. We were advised by our architect to not publish our detailed floor plan online for safety reasons. We are really excited to begin the construction process and have appreciated all of the hard work from our staff, BLDD and Vissering Construction as we worked through the design process.
