PC Community:
At our Regular Board Meeting on August 21st, BLDD Architecture was able to provide a schematic design of our New PreK-4th grade building. Just as a reminder, we have four phases of the design/construction process. The first stage is schematic design, followed by design development, construction documents, and finally bidding and construction. All of this is laid out in the project schedule that was shared earlier which can be found HERE.
Through planning meetings and surveys with various stakeholders, BLDD has been able to take that feedback and create a rendering of a floor plan that would meet the desires and needs for our students. The main philosophy of the design encompasses areas for collaboration, flexible spaces for multiple uses, maximizing square footage of the building, and a welcoming environment for students and communities. The schematic design is not a finished product as we will be conducting additional meetings as we move into the design development stage of the timeline. We are excited to show you the initial plans of the potential layout of our new building and as additional information becomes available we will continue to share this with the communities of Prairie Central.
