
Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week, Trey McWhorter!
Trey is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Fairbury, and is the son of Corey and Kim McWhorter. Trey was nominated by Coach Johnson, who wrote, "On Monday vs Watseka Trey was our leading scorer with 15 points and most of them came in the first quarter. He helped us get off to a great start in that game. This great start, helped by Trey's effort, led to our second straight conference win. Trey gives us some athleticism inside and we need him to continue to work hard and do the things we work on for us to have success."


Congratulations to the PCJH Student of the Week, Travis Kelson!
Travis is a 13-year-old 8th grader from Fairbury, and is the son of Paula and Nathan. Travis was nominated by Mrs. Ropp, who wrote, "Travis is a kind, polite, and considerate young man. I have been very touched this year with how he has taken a couple of our A.C.E.S students, in our 5th hour PE class, under his wing. He makes sure to include and encourage them in all of the activities that we do. These young men look up to Travis and enjoy being around him." Travis is also involved with the 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team and FFA. Outside of school he enjoys fishing, woodworking, physical activities and working with a local company.


PC boys basketball defeats Fisher, 69-32 at the GCMS Thanksgiving Tournament to advance to the Championship game on Saturday at 5:30pm!

To celebrate Thanksgiving, 5th grade students decorated turkeys and held a parade at the Upper Elementary. The judges had a difficult time picking their favorites! Happy Thanksgiving from the UE!

PCJH STEAM classes and 8th grade physical science classes shared the lab space for CO2 cartridge cars and Rube Goldberg machines!

At the UE, Mrs. Pick's Learning Center classes are hard at work designing and building original arcade games. Once finished, they will fill the gym with all the games and everyone will have a chance to compete!






PCE had a big day today! Our students enjoyed rotating through a variety of stations throughout the day, including a craft, snack, bingo, and others. We also hosted around 800 people for our Thanksgiving lunch!
Many people worked hard to make today possible. Thank you volunteers, Training Tomorrow's Teachers Today group from PCHS, ISU clinical students, our cafe staff, office staff, and PCE staff members.

Mason is 13-year-old 7th grader from Fairbury, and is the son of Kayla and Brian Swallows. Mason was nominated by Coach Cheek, who wrote, "Mason is a very hard worker on the basketball floor and he always comes to practice ready to learn and make himself better. Mason always brings a positive attitude with him to the gym, and he is always encouraging his teammates to do their best. Mason is the type of player that will do whatever it takes for the team to perform its best. It is with great pleasure that I award Mason this award."

Tristin is a 12-year-old 7th grader from Fairbury, and is the son of John and Michelle Reilmann. Tristin was nominated by Mrs. Davis, who wrote, "Tristin is a wonderful student. He pays attention, asks questions and perseveres when math gets rough. Tristin is pleasant and always comes to class with a huge smile on his face. Good Job, Tristin!"


PCHS would like to say thank you to all of those who have served and currently serve as a member of the United States armed services. PCHS held an assembly on Friday in honor of Veterans Day.

PCJH honored our local veterans this morning with a Veteran’s Day Assembly, organized by the Student Council. The PCJH band, directed by Mrs. Lackaff, provided musical renditions of The Star Spangled Banner, Songs of the Armed Forces, and Taps. PCJH’s own Mrs. Kratochvil shared the story of her grandfather, taking care to remind us that thanking our veterans is always important since freedom is not free. A heartfelt PCJH thank you to ALL of our veterans whether they are here at home, serving abroad, or no longer with us.



PCE hosted a Veteran's Day Walk of Fame this afternoon. Thank you to all that have served!





PCPE had a special guest today for our Veteran's Day assembly, Chief Cavanagh. He came to speak with our students about his time in the Army. Thank you for your service to this country and keeping us safe.
