Lily Wilder is the Upper Elementary Student of the Week! Lily has been recognized for her exceptional dedication to their studies and outstanding academic performance. She consistently exhibits a strong work ethic, actively engages in classroom discussions, and demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Lily has the amazing talent of writing and is constantly adding to her portfolio of work. Lily is also the first one to help a fellow peer in need in such a kind and caring way. Congratulations to the PCJH Student of the Week, Lexi Donovan! Lexi is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Chenoa, and is the daughter of Maggie and Ryne Donovan. Lexi was nominated by Ms. McArdle, who wrote, "Throughout the academic year, Lexi has consistently shown enthusiasm for science! Her commitment to success is evident in her high-quality work, engagement in class discussions, and (most importantly) her willingness to assist her peers in understanding challenging concepts. Lexi is not only an outstanding student academically, but also someone who embodies many of the values her teachers appreciate! Beyond the classroom, Lexi actively participates in various extracurricular activities, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a genuine passion for making a positive impact. Whether it's through her involvement in track, volleyball or basketball, Lexi consistently goes above and beyond to contribute positively to the school and the community. You may even see her working out at the local gym or running with her mom when the weather is nice! Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week, Rebecca Birge! Becca is a is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Chenoa, and is the daughter of Terry & Amanda Birge. Becca was nominated by Ms. Tatro, who wrote, "Rebecca is a natural born artist and leader! In Art Guild, she not only excels in creating interesting works, but she actively works to be a positive influence on her peers. She is eager to lend a hand, give some advice, or talk through struggles with her fellow artists. Her fervor and dedication to her skills have absolutely flourished in the last two years that she has been a part of the Art Guild. Rebecca is well versed in drawing and painting, and is always looking to improve and add to her toolbelt. I am very proud of the progress and passion she has shown, and cannot wait to see how far it takes her!" Becca is also involved in Choir.
