Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week (for the week of October 2), AJ Basham!
AJ is a 13-year-old 8th grader from Chatsworth, and the son of Jennifer Wlos. He was nominated by Coach Whitfill, who writes, "AJ is a two year player for the JH baseball team. AJ is a naturally gifted athlete, with speed and agility. Because of his speed, AJ spent time in left field chasing down flyballs. AJ also spent some time on the mound this season and with some off season work he will be a contributor to the high school pitching staff in the future. AJ was our lead off hitter most of the season, in 35 at bats he finished with a .429 batting average and a .500 on base percentage. I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching AJ these past two seasons, he works hard, knows what's expected of him and doesn't like to let himself or others down. I am looking forward to watching AJ work hard and excel in many activities including the classroom." AJ is also active in football, and plans to try out for basketball and/or wrestling.

Congratulations to the PCJH Student of the Week (for the week of October 2), Cooper Fehr!
Cooper is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Fairbury, and the son of Luke and Kate Fehr. He is involved in FFA, and was nominated by Mr. Rothert, who writes, "Cooper is a great student to have in class. He comes everyday with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He does well in class and prepares for whatever we might be doing. He also contributes to discussions in the class and listens when others are speaking."

PCE had an exciting homecoming assembly this morning with visitors from the high school! Thank you to Mr. Wenger and Mr. Vincent for bringing over the drumline, cheerleaders, and some senior fall athletes. #itsagreatdaytobeahawk

Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week, Addisyn Donley!
Addisyn is a 12-year-old 7th grader from Chatsworth, and the daughter of Jared and Kiley Donley. Addisyn was nominated by Coach Meister, who writes, "Addi did an amazing job this season when I asked her to move to shortstop, she ranked third on the team in fielding percentage and was very vocal. She also hit the ball well all season, finishing second in walks, runs scored, and stolen bases and top five in batting average and on base percentage. I look forward to Addi being one of the team leaders next season as an 8th grader! Addi is involved in travel softball, volleyball and track."
