Congratulation to Beth Rieger for being awarded a $500 grant from the Illinois Association of School Social Workers. She and her students will be using the money to support several small outreach projects. Way to go!!!



PC High School Football and Volleyball athletes visited Upper Elementary classes for Red Ribbon Week to talk about making wise choices and finding success in high school. Tickets for the round 1 football playoff game vs PBL this Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 PM at Prairie Central High School will not be pre-sold. Admission is set by the IHSA and will be $5 for everyone, including students and staff. No passes will be allowed! Gates will open at 6 PM.

Good luck to the PCHS volleyball team as they play PBL at the IHSA Regional in Fieldcrest tonight at 6 PM! Doors will open at 5 PM, admission will be $5 for everyone, tickets will only be sold at the door.

Mrs. Vogel's 8th grade ELA students have been learning about Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences . Students took a survey and used the data to draw their intelligence portraits.

8th grade band students had the opportunity to go to the high school for marching band practice Thursday morning. They will be performing the pregame show with the high school marching band tonight at the home football game. #ItsAGreatDayToBeAHawk
