JH WRESTLING UPDATE! The JH wrestling meet start time at the Upper Elementary on Tuesday, 2/8 has been move back to 5:30. Please do not arrive any sooner than 4:30.

Two "frequently asked questions" regarding COVID protocols:
1. Do athletes have to mask? ANSWER: the "home rules" are in effect. If it is a home game, they do not. If they are at an away game at a school that requires masking, then they must wear a mask.
2. Do students and drivers still have to mask on the bus? ANSWER: Yes. This is a federal rule, not a state rule.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are calling off school for one more day. There will be not classes tomorrow, February 4th. We will make decisions on extracurricular activities as the morning progresses, and, if we see significant improvement coaches and sponsors will communicate this information to participants. We are confident that we’ll be back to school Monday as usual. Enjoy the weekend!

Due to the continued weather threat, all Prairie Central schools will be closed tomorrow, February 3, 2022. All extra-curricular events are also canceled for tomorrow, including practices. A decision for Friday may be a bit trickier, and may need to be made Friday morning. We will make the call as early as possible, however, so parents can plan for childcare. This emergency day, along with the others, puts the kids in school until June 3rd.
The PCHS JV/Varsity boys basketball games scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3rd have been CANCELED and will not be rescheduled.
In response to the forecast of an extreme amount of snow overnight combined with strong winds, all Prairie Central Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 2, 2022. Although Thursday does not look promising, we will be making a decision on that tomorrow and contacting families of the decision as soon as it is made. There will be no activities tomorrow, including practices
