Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week, Carolyn Schmidgall! Carolyn is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Forrest, and is the daughter of Anna and Brad Schmidgall. Carolyn was nominated by Mr. Cheek, who wrote, "Carolyn is a fantastic worker in choir and had really grown this year in her confidence and voice. Carolyn is also an active member of the Peer Partner Program at PC Junior High, as well as a member of the FFA Program, Softball, and Track. It is a joy to have Carolyn in choir and I hope she continues with choir throughout her high school years."

Congratulations to the PCJH Student of the Week, Sergio Osuna! Sergio is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Forrest, and is the son of Sergio Osuna and Elena Estrada. Sergio was nominated by Ms. Tatro, who wrote, "Sergio makes the classroom his own in some of the best ways. He comes to Photography class every day with a positive attitude, ready for a challenge. He doesn't back down when he gets stuck or needs guidance, and he always finds a solution to keep him on the path to success. Valentine's Day at PCE was a day of giving! Students donated items requested by the food pantry to fill goodie bags, such as toothbrushes, combs, Kleenexes, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, candy, gum, small toys, and nail files. Flight crew members designed and decorated bags with positive messages. Flight crew hopes these bags can brighten the day of those that receive one!

Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week, Leah Hartman! Leah is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Fairbury, and is the daughter of Lori and Ryan Hartman. Leah was nominated by Coach Brown, who wrote, "Leah has really stepped up this year and has become a leader on our team. She knows every position on the court and helps make sure everyone is where they need to be. She is always a positive light on our team. She has worked hard to improve her skills from last year. She is a strong athlete and student who is involved in many school activities and has been on high honor roll each quarter." Leah is also involved in Band, FFA, and C.A.R.E.S. Clowns.
