IHSA State Wrestling Champ Chloe Hoselton got a police, ambulance, and firetruck escort to school this morning and received an awesome greeting and congratulations from the staff at PCHS!! Thanks SELCAS and way to go Chloe!!!

Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week, Elijah Mowery!
Elijah is a 13-year-old 8th grader from Fairbury, and is the son of Lance and Danielle Mowery. Elijah was nominated by Coach Webster, who wrote, "Elijah has shown very good progression throughout this season as a first year wrestler. He recently placed 2nd at the King of the Hill tournament in Clinton and 3rd at the LeRoy Invitational. He continues to work hard and get better each day."


Congratulations to the PCJH Student of the Week, Kolby Miller!
Kolby is an 11-year-old ACES student from Chenoa, and is the son of Jodi and Tom Miller. Kolby was nominated by Mr. Whitfill, who wrote, "Kolby is always willing to chat and share a story; I can always count on Kolby bringing a smile to my face when I walk into the gym and tell him good morning. No matter what the activity is for the day, Kolby is ready to give it his best effort and he truly is an inspiration to the whole class. Whether it be shooting baskets on an exploratory day, playing badminton or working out on a fitness day, Kolby Miller is all about doing his best in Physical Education. Kolby can turn a Rubik's cube into the flag of any country with a striped flag in a matter of seconds. He enjoys camping and taking trips with his family. Kolby is knowledgeable about technology and transportation. Kolby's future plans are to work for PlayStation." Kolby is also involved in Miracle League Baseball and Peer Partners.


IHSA State Girls Wrestling Champ Chloe Hoselton will be heading out from the Chenoa fire station at approximately 8:00 AM via firetruck escort Monday morning and arrive at the front door of PCHS at approximately 8:15 AM for students and community members wishing to congratulate her on her way or upon her arrival to school!

Primary East had our monthly SEL lunch. Students from East were working on showing love and kindness to each other and themselves during February. We are super proud of our Hawks!!!



It has been a fun FFA Week here at PCHS filled with decorations, dress up days, dodgeball, food, milk chugging, and more! Don’t forget to head out to the Farm and Home Show at the Upper Elementary tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 24!

Congratulations to Carrie Small (PCE Library/Media Specialist) and Christy Decker (PCE third grade teacher) for receiving the Empowering Education Grants for $500 each from Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative. Eastern Illini supports schools and teachers in our service territory by funding projects that inspire and engage students and provide valuable learning experiences.

Carolyn is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Forrest, and is the daughter of Anna and Brad Schmidgall. Carolyn was nominated by Mr. Cheek, who wrote, "Carolyn is a fantastic worker in choir and had really grown this year in her confidence and voice. Carolyn is also an active member of the Peer Partner Program at PC Junior High, as well as a member of the FFA Program, Softball, and Track. It is a joy to have Carolyn in choir and I hope she continues with choir throughout her high school years."

Sergio is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Forrest, and is the son of Sergio Osuna and Elena Estrada. Sergio was nominated by Ms. Tatro, who wrote, "Sergio makes the classroom his own in some of the best ways. He comes to Photography class every day with a positive attitude, ready for a challenge. He doesn't back down when he gets stuck or needs guidance, and he always finds a solution to keep him on the path to success. Sergio is more than willing to lend a helping hand to his classmates and tries his best to be a buddy to everyone! He is a friendly face and strives to make the class environment fun for all."
